Behavioral and Mental Health Services

The Behavioral and Mental Health Services Program provides counseling services for infants, toddlers, youth up to age 18 and families throughout Kent and surrounding communities. 

In 2014… 

  • Provided over 5,500 hours of mental health services to 568 clients and families 
  • Provided Substance abuse Treatment Services to over 341 clients and families.
  • Continued our relationship with the Kent School District by having both substance abuse treatment and mental health counselors in multiple schools. 
  • Continued collaboration with NAVOS Mental Health, offering mental health counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medical management to families on Medicaid.
  • Provided Best practices which include, The Incredible Years, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adolescent Community Reinforcement, GAIN, Seven challenges and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. 
  • Continued to offer counseling services to Head Start and ECEAP children and their families, both at the agency as well as site based services.
