The Behavioral and Mental Health Services Program provides counseling services for infants, toddlers, youth up to age 18 and families throughout Kent and surrounding communities.
In 2014…
- Provided over 5,500 hours of mental health services to 568 clients and families
- Provided Substance abuse Treatment Services to over 341 clients and families.
- Continued our relationship with the Kent School District by having both substance abuse treatment and mental health counselors in multiple schools.
- Continued collaboration with NAVOS Mental Health, offering mental health counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medical management to families on Medicaid.
- Provided Best practices which include, The Incredible Years, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adolescent Community Reinforcement, GAIN, Seven challenges and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Continued to offer counseling services to Head Start and ECEAP children and their families, both at the agency as well as site based services.
